First Day of Agape
MoriahG — Wed, 09/10/2008 - 10:42am
Yeah, a pretty stinky title, but that's what yesterday was. So...there. Yeah.
No, I didn't mean yesterday was stinky, cause it wasn't.
Yesterday was the first day of Agape, which meant for me, it was also the first day of Spanish2, the first day of Beginner Human Video, the first day of Civics and Government, and the first day of Debate.
It was a good first day. :) I got to visit with a friend I haven't hung out with much recently. :) I did miss another friend though, but that's okay. I'll see her tomorrow. :)
How did all y'all's first days go?
A short entry. Yeah. Fairly simple.
God Bless you. :)

Freshman Year, Here We Come....
MoriahG — Fri, 09/07/2007 - 2:22pm
Woah! We get blogs? Sweet.
Drum roll please! A bunch of my friends and I are starting our Freshman year this Tuesday. DUN DUN DUNNN. Wow. I know it won't be hugely different "school"-wise, because thankfully we don't have to go to an all-new school and meet all new people, especially upperclassmen, who do not necessarily enjoy having freshmen around. :P (from what I've heard)
But we will be taking new classes, harder classes, classes that require more effort and attention. We may have had to drop some "extracurricular" classes for more "educational" ones-for instance, I've already opted for Biology and dissecting little frogs instead of doing Drama and singing alongside Anne of Green Gables. :P (not RIGHT alongside but you get the point. :P) But it's for education. Which is always a good thing. :) And to get Biology over with Freshman Year. Whew. Despite the fact we'll be in the same atmosphere, with the same peers and upperclassmen who are kinder than some, we still have a whole new sort of year to look forward to. Less play, more work. Get the right classes so you can graduate with all your credits. Sharpen your mind for the SAT. Start looking at colleges your siblings are deciding on. (or ones they haven't thought of) Juggling jobs, school at home, and school at Agape. Juggling all that and Driver's Ed, maybe? I guess this is high school in general, not just freshmen.
Alright, so not everyone will be doing all these things at once. And we're Freshmen. College isn't as close as it is to the Juniors or Seniors. But we'll still have more responsibility and more work than before. But there could come more enjoyment with this as well.
