Please bring a paper and pen or pencil to class.  Also, the cost of the book will be $6.00.

I am planning on doing the Point Store with the students.  For those of you who haven't heard how that worked last year, I award points for participation in class and showing mastery of skills.  A couple times a year we will have a Point Store where they can "spend" their points to "buy" something.  Unlike last year, I will accept donations to the store.  :o] (But KNOW that this is not expected of you or required!!!) I would especially like it if you could contribute something you know your child would be interested in working for.   It does not have to be expensive.  I equate one point to a penny.  So if something costs $5.00, it will be worth 500 points.  Some students last year did earn a little over 1,000 points but it took them the whole year to do it.  (and they saved them instead of spending them throughout the year).
