I wanted to let everyone know how grateful I am to you for helping out this worthy cause.  I took all of your stuff down on Saturday and helped the other ladies stuff the stockings for the soldiers.  We were able to complete 317 of the 500 stockings that are needed.  Your contributions went a long way.  I can't tell you how many thank yous I got from the ladies that are coordinating this effort. 

They still need a few more items to complete the shipment before sending it off to Aghanistan.  If you can help with these few remaining items, please let me know ASAP so I can take them to the designated location. 

Items still needed:  

75 black crew socks ( I found a pkg of ten at Walmart for $9.96, I believe)

80 single servings of peanuts ( I found these at Sam's.  I think a box of 36 was around $18.00?)

100 single servings of fruit snacks ( I think these come in boxes of 10 or so and can be found just about anywhere )

If you have any left over Halloween candy you'd like to get rid of, they are using these to stuff the sock completely after the other items have been put in.
