Blessing others at Christmas

Submitted by beckyw on Mon, 12/01/2008 - 10:50am.

Dear Home School Families,

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. We wanted to thank all of you again for your spirit of generosity with blessing so many families this Thanksgiving. We have such a wonderful group of people at First Agape. You are all always so willing to give of your time and hearts to others.

As most of you know there are many families in our group who have lost their jobs and are struggling financially. Our family went through this in the past at about this same time of year as well. It was a very uncertain time for us. I remember feeling very humbled and blessed by others generosity to my family. When people were so kind and giving of themselves it helped to encourage us and to lift our spirits.

We have an opportunity to be a blessing to others this Christmas as well. We had such a strong outpouring of love from our group over Thanksgiving that we decided to extend the giving of food baskets and gift cards through Christmas.

You can bring food in starting this Tuesday through Dec. 18th.  We encourage gift cards as well because families can purchase food or other items they may need. You can even purchase these from our group at the card table and the money goes to help finance the musicals that we all enjoy. If you have a gift card to give please see Becky Woodman.

If each of us can do a little then it can make a BIG difference. Please continue to pray for everyone during these difficult times and remember to give words of encouragement and a hug never hurts either. :o) If you know of someone in need then please let us know.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and May God Bless each of you!!!!

Sincerely,

Aimee
